Jeff Allen will headline the Impossible Possibilities 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day-5K Festival on March 13, 2010.

Allen has a sound all his own, incorporating Texas honky-tonk, rocking country guitars and a little southern soul into a unique blend that has made him an instant fan favorite on the country music scene. His first radio single "Raised on Gettin’ By," from his debut album of the same name, was featured on the Texas Music Chart for more than 15 weeks in 2009, eventually climbing as high as No. 8. Allen has opened for country music superstars, including Reba McEntire, Randy Travis, Big and Rich and Vince Gill. Opening for Allen are the Jesse Jennings Band and Rob Baird. Jennings is a talented singer, songwriter and musician who currently resides in Fort Worth. He has performed at venues large and small throughout Texas, and his self titled album "Jesse Jennings" is a compilation of songs he has written over the past nine years. Baird, a Memphis native and TCU graduate, played his first live show at The Aardvark in Fort Worth. Since his humble beginnings, Baird has signed on with independent record label Carnival Music and will release his debut album in the summer of 2010, featuring his newest single "Could Have Been My Baby." The 2nd Annual 5K Festival is a five-hour celebration complete with a 5K run and family walk, 1-mile kids' race, live music, kid zone, sponsor expo, food and beverages. The festival will run from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Trinity Park located at 2401 University Drive in Fort Worth. The event is open to the general public and raises funds for the organization's programs and initiatives. Impossible Possibilities is a 501(c)(3) public nonprofit organization based out of the Dallas-Fort Worth area providing education initiatives locally and abroad. |
